Make layers of brick-like rows
Begin with flat base. Add top and bottom slab elements. The scraps of clay make the "design".
Imprint, scratch, or stamp design before joining. Form a belt into an arching foot. Ornamental handles join with slip. This does not have to be a large project.
It is lower and has a wide look. Work on balance of size and support. Fold ends to form "Box" appliqué balls make textures. ![]() Platform-like shape makes a base. Support foot can be various heights. Decorate first. Join with slip and brush. hint: when clay is too soft you may be able to join foot with the clay object turned over, (upside down) ![]() |
