High Standards of Performance

High-level achievement projects for middle school allow students to apply knowledge and skills in a well-thought-out and challenging assignment that follows a step by step procedure. When completed each product will have engaged higher levels of performances-creation or written analysis. Visual art terms and design elements are part of the knowledge that is applied to both written and created projects.

In completing the work each person must consider the question of subject matter or theme, style and also the expressive quality of an art form. Finally, organization of the elements requires some thoughtful considerations of the matter of placement and organization of parts.

The hope of every teacher is that the students in our classes will  take  personal responsibility for completing each  task and  assignment at as high a level of competency as possible while working independently.
